Shonen KnifeMelbourne’s Croxton Bandroom have delivered the details of their 2026 Block Party, tapping local legends King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard to curate the line-up.
Taking place across the weekend of Saturday, October 17th and Sunday, October 18th, the second edition of the Croxton's Block Party will be a big one.
They've locked in Japanese pop punk icons Shonen Knife, Northern Beaches rockers C.O.F.F.I.N, and Heavy Moss, which was likely an easy get given it's led by King Gizz bassist Lucas Harwood. The bill also boasts Byron bay psych outfit Babe Rainbow, Melbourne locals Public Figures, Gut Health, ORB, Moktar, and more.
King Gizz’s own Stu Mackenzie will perform on the Eurorack, while his band will close out each night with a three-hour set.
“It's a fitting one for us,” the Croxton team says. “Gizz played their first-ever Croxton show back in December 2015, just after we opened our doors, and they've been back eight times since — including a three-night residency in 2016, the run-up to Polygondwanaland in 2018, and their legendary Bushfire Benefit show back in 2020.
“We're so honoured to have the boys back for a Block Party takeover in 2026.”
King Gizz have also partnered with climate impact agency FEAT so $1 from every ticket will help fund the biodiversity restoration of Lungtalanana Island, TAS, aiming to restore the habitat of the Bass Strait wombat and long-nosed potoroo and bring these species back onto the island.
Alongside the announcement of the Croxton Block Party line-up, King Gizz have also announced three additional New South Wales shows in the lead-up.

These include a show at Anita’s Theatre in Thirroul on October 13th, and an appearance at the Hordern Pavilion on October 14th. Both dates are with Xiao Xiao, while October 14th will see King Gizz pulling double duty, offering up a late rave set that same night at Liberty Hall.
Tickets to the Croxton Block Party are on sale from 12pm on Friday, July 31st, while a pre-sale will run for 48 hours from 12pm on Tuesday, July 28th.
