Shihad announced as Black Sabbath Australian tour supports
New Zealand-via-Melbourne alternative rockers Shihad have been announced as main support on Black Sabbath’s upcoming Australian tour. With a career stretching over 25 years, Shihad have toured the world countless times, have been inducted into the New Zealand Music Hall of Fame and have released eight critically acclaimed studio albums. They’ve reportedly kicked off 2013 by recording their ninth studio album in Egypt and Spain with producer Jaz Coleman of Killing Joke, so fans can expect to hear some new material when Shihad hit the stage before Sabbath. Featuring original members Ozzy Osbourne, bassist Geezer Butler and guitarist Tony Iommi, Black Sabbath have also been busy recording their first album in 33 years with producer Rick Rubin. The album is due for release in April. For Today guitarist posts anti-homosexuality rant
For Today guitarist Mike Reynolds has released a series of tweets making himself out to be a religious bigot who thinks homosexuality is a sin. His words were then contradicted by the band who released a statement claiming they love all people.Read their words below:Reynolds:"There IS a state church being formed, there is going to ba an exclusive acceptance of preachers who advocate the LGBT [LINK]. Don't be deceived, homosexuality is a sin. This sin with all other sins is what Jesus died for. He conquered so that we would be free. No such thing as a gay Christian, the same as there is no such thing as a Christian who loves his sin. Don't be fooled by the formation of a state church as though the government is being converted, they only use the name of Jesus for their Progressive liberal agenda.
