Sunday Sessions curated by Music in Exile – Maryam Rahmani

SUNDAY 25 OCTOBER 2026 | 2:00PM

What?

This spring, Music in Exile curates a series of intimate Sunday performances at the historic Elizabeth Farm. Across three Sundays in October, experience a stellar line-up of musicians building bold new careers in Australia and reshaping what our music industry sounds like.

Maryam Rahmani | 25 October

Iranian-born composer, vocalist and santur player Maryam Rahmani brings a rich musical practice grounded in Persian classical traditions, poetry and rhythm.

Now based in Adelaide, Maryam has spent years exploring the relationships between music, language and cultural exchange. Her work draws on traditional Persian forms while embracing collaboration and contemporary influences. This special performance comes ahead of the release of her debut album Kamand, showcasing an artist dedicated to preserving cultural heritage while continually pushing its boundaries.

Join Maryam Rahmani for an intimate afternoon of music, storytelling and connection at Elizabeth Farm.
