Iranian-born composer, vocalist and santur player Maryam Rahmani brings a rich musical practice grounded in Persian classical traditions, poetry and rhythm.
Now based in Adelaide, Maryam has spent years exploring the relationships between music, language and cultural exchange. Her work draws on traditional Persian forms while embracing collaboration and contemporary influences. This special performance comes ahead of the release of her debut album Kamand, showcasing an artist dedicated to preserving cultural heritage while continually pushing its boundaries.
