Jade Paw (aka Matt Kelly) is an artist from Narrm who fuses soul and ambient textures to tell personal stories about his life, covering themes of love, loss, grit and grace.Having fronted a myriad of bands over the years, sharing stages with acts like Hiatus Kaiyote, Kimbra, Ngaire, Horatio Luna plus so many other local juggernauts, Matts experience has been versatile and ever expanding.Since releasing debut EP Hell No Satan Not Today under the moniker Jade Paw his songs have gone in the direction of psychedelic soul music influenced by people like Marvin Gaye, Mara TK and Portishead.He will be playing a solo set on piano every Thursday in March at the Edinburgh Castle.
