What?

Emerging from months of hibernation, Naarm post-punk mainstays Great Australian Bank make their return to Cactus Room on 16th October. Expect sparkling guitars, thundering drums and commanding vocals from the 80’s post-punk heyday - paying homage to the past while feeling fresh.

Great Australian Bank is a bastardised Australiana / post-punk quartet hailing from Naarm. Drawing inspiration from The Church, Sonic Youth, and The Go-Betweens, Great Australian Bank channel a sound that is decidedly angular, melodic and nostalgic.

Joining on supports are fiscal computer-punks Finance Executive and jangly storytellers Billy Cart Presales $10 + BF. Doors $15

Great Australian Bank Acknowledge that this event takes place on the stolen lands of the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation. Sovereignty was never ceded. Always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
