'Breaking Bad' Stars Bryan Cranston And Aaron Paul Announce Australian Tour

The stars of one of the most popular series of all time will be heading to Australia this January.

Just days after it was crowned the best television program of the 21st century by The New York Times, the stars of Breaking Bad have announced an Australian tour.

Taking place across both Australia and New Zealand in January 2027, the event will see stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul coming together on local soil for the first time, chatting about the now-iconic program.

Kicking off at Brisbane's Entertainment Centre on January 15th, the pair will head around the country, visiting Perth's RAC Arena, the MCEC Plenary in Melbourne, Sydney's TikTok Entertainment Centre, and wrapping it up with an appearance at the NZICC Te Peapea Theatre over in Auckland.

Throughout the evening, Cranston and Paul will discuss the origins of the show, what it took out of them, and what it gave back to them. Chats around the writing, the production, the filming, the mistakes, and everything in between will also be on offer.

First premiering in January 2008, the premise of Breaking Bad was an intriguing one, wherein high school chemistry teacher Walter White (Cranston) turns to producing and selling methamphetamine after being diagnosed with lung cancer as a way to provide for his family.

Teaming up with former student Jesse Pinkman (Paul), the pair unknowingly embark on a high-stakes journey in which they launch a drug empire.

Though seen as a left-turn for the traditionally comical efforts of Cranston, the series was a massive hit, going on to be regarded as one of the greatest television series of all time, launching a franchise, and remains one of the most-watched series ever made.

Tickets to the upcoming tour go on sale from 1pm local time on Friday, October 2nd, with a pre-sale launching at 1pm local time on Wednesday, September 30th.
