Live ProfileA month after announcing that Lookout Festival would return in early 2027 with a killer line-up of international and homegrown talent, organisers have added a Perth stop to the tour.
Lookout Festival takes over Kings Park & Botanic Garden on Thursday, 4 March. The Perth date shares headliners with the rest of the national tour: global music juggernauts Live and Grammy Award-winning heavyweights Stone Temple Pilots, as well as Aussie rockers The Living End and Magic Dirt.
Tour promoters Face To Face will release pre-sale tickets on Tuesday, 6 October, at 1 pm local time, followed by the general sale on Wednesday, 7 October, at 1 pm local time. Head to the Lookout Tour website for more ticketing information.
With today’s announcement, Lookout Festival now begins in Perth. It continues at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Saturday, 6 March, followed by dates in Bendigo, Bruce, Melbourne, Mornington, Wollongong, Sydney, the Hunter Valley, Broadbeach, and concluding at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Wednesday, 24 March.
Last in Australia in 2024 for the inaugural Lookout Festival, Live are returning for their largest Australian shows to date. In 2019, they celebrated the 25th anniversary of their massively successful album, Throwing Copper, home to the band’s biggest single, Lightning Crashes, the #1 track on Modern Rock radio for ten consecutive weeks.
Stone Temple Pilots toured Australia last year, but it’s never too soon to have them back. Since roaring onto the music scene in 1992, the rockers have won a Grammy for their smash hit, Plush, and consistently defy trends and expectations. The band dropped their latest album, Perdida, in 2020 and they continue to tour with their new lead singer, Jeff Gutt.
And, of course, Aussie fans are well aware of the impact of The Living End and Magic Dirt, two ferocious, unmissable live bands.
The Living End join the bill after a sold-out regional tour earlier this year; they’ve been touring in support of their first album in eight years, I Only Trust Rock n Roll, a lean, energetic statement from the punk rock veterans. Meanwhile, Magic Dirt have become one of Australia’s all-time classic and quintessential alternative rock bands.
