Nat Luna is fairy-like, couched in shimmery visuals. The R&B-cum-pop artist possesses dreamy, sliding vocals; her songs exist in a soft, pastel sonic space.

And she is about to release her fourth ever single. After the success of such misty, romantic tracks as cupid boy, too pretty will drop on all streaming platforms on November 6th.

The track - which is the first taste of her upcoming EP, set for a 2025 release - has a lollipop sound: saccharine, smooth. Luna repeats over leathery instrumentation, “I’m too pretty for this shit.” The hook is a giddy but collected reflection of one's own self worth.

Nat Luna describes too pretty as “my confidence anthem about self-empowerment and realising your worth. It’s sensual, playful, and oozes charisma.”

She continues, “I wrote this song after someone let me down, and I realised I was worth more than the bad experience they were offering me. It marks a big turning point in seeing your value - both inside and out - and walking away from anything that makes you feel any less than that. As a wheelchair user, this song is especially meaningful to me because it shows that people with disabilities can be sexy too.”

As an artist with a physical disability, Luna has been crucial in leading the charge in improving representation in the Adelaide music scene. This bold and empowering anthem in particular challenges stereotypes and redefines typical narratives. She offers a powerful new perspective in the music landscape.

Acclaim for Nat Luna’s previous singles have earned her stage time alongside Florence + The Machine, AURORA, and Bon Iver at WOMADelaide 2023.

Her ultimate goal is to connect with others, and music is her chosen medium. As she said when speaking to the ABC on the release of her first single cupid boy, “I’m not making music for me. Sure, it’s fun and I love doing it but I’m doing it so other people can feel something.”

too pretty, out on November 6th, is sure to connect with people of all demographics through its universal appeal for self-love.
