Heavy house bangers for your mid-week slump.. Tina Says is definitely no stranger to the Pilerats office (seriously, she works here), so we are definitely stoked to be writing about her triumphant new remix of Alison Wonderland’s album opener Run. While a whole heap of remixes have dropped since Alison released the stems to the single a week or so ago, this remix really brings the original up the notch, ditching Alison’s bouncy, warped synth and replacing it with a heavy, bass-house vibe and chopped up vocals. It's dark and dirty, with the warm, industrial feeling described as “being fired out of a cannon into an old power-station and then wetting your pants” and honestly, we can’t help but agree. 2015's biggest remix.. Header photo via Stoney Roads/Life Without Andy Okay so we're a month late on this one, but it's worthy of talking about because it's literally too huge to ignore. XVII is a Canadian producer who does trap, and does it fucking well. He doesn't have a whole lot of tunes to his Soundcloud, but what he does have are pure bombs. That said, this latest "flip" of Alison Wonderland's U Don't Know feat. Wayne Coyne is an absolute bomb. It goes in places you don't expect, and for this humble writer it sits proudly alongside Wave Racer's Panama remix from a couple years back as amongst his favourites.
