Pete Murray has plenty to celebrate. It’s been 25 years since he started making music, and he’s celebrating that epic milestone with a special run of shows this summer.

The Better Days hitmaker launches proceedings with a show at Fremantle Prison on Friday, 12 February.

He continues the run at Melbourne’s Palace Foreshore on Saturday, 27 February, a just-announced performance for Sydney’s Twilight at Taronga series on Saturday, 6 March, and at Brisbane’s Cultural Forecourt, South Bank on Saturday, 13 March, as part of QPAC’s On the Banks series.

Tickets to all shows will be available on Wednesday, 21 October. To find out more, head to the Ticketmaster (Fremantle), Ticketek (Melbourne), Twilight at Taronga, and QPAC websites.

For the first time in his career, Murray will perform his beloved albums, Feeler and See the Sun, in their entirety. Released in July 2003, Feeler features the hit singles So Beautiful and Bail Me Out, while 2005’s See the Sun contains the fan favourites Opportunity and Better Days.

Both albums debuted at #1 in Australia, with the former certified seven-times Platinum by ARIA, and the latter five-times Platinum.

“It’s hard to believe it’s been 25 years since I started making music. A lot has happened over those years, and I’ve been lucky enough to share so many of those moments with you all,” Pete Murray wrote on social media this week.

He added, “These two albums mean a lot to me and are such a big part of my life and career, so being able to go back and play them in full is something I’m really looking forward to. I know these albums and songs mean a lot to so many of you and I can’t wait to share this special evening with you all.”

For his shows in Fremantle and Sydney, Murray will be joined by special guests Pierce Brothers and introduces his son, Charlie Murray. The pair join him in Melbourne and Brisbane, too, along with The Waifs.
