New Music: Alison Wonderland - U Don't Know feat. Wayne Coyne
Alison Wonderland employs Miley Cyrus-collaborator Wayne Coyne on a new single.. While this is only a teaser of the full track, it's worth a blog post anyhow based on a few things. U Don't Know is the first track Alison Wonderland has released since last year's killer Calm Down EP, which featured a heap of respected and loved producers like Lido and Carmack, alongside Alison dropping bombs in the form of I Want U, Lies and Cold. This new effort also features The Flaming Lips' Wayne Coyne, who generation-i most likely know following last year's dalliances with pop queen Miley Cyrus. Alison Wonderland had a barnstorming 2014, with huge sold-out warehouse tours and once again slayed the new year festival season, and 2015 sees her making her US debut at a little festival called Coachella. She also signed to legendary electronic label Astralwerks in USA, home to deadmau5, The Chemical Brothers, Empire of the Sun, Duke Dumont and more. Being a popular party DJ is one thing, but she's since moved onto something far and above, working with producers like Lido, Djemba Djemba and Mr Carmack for one of the year's biggest releases. We talked getting to where she is now, the cello and how no one is called a "Male DJ".

Southbound Presents: Stagebound
A new format for Southbound's local band comp, and we're getting involved.. Southbound's local band comp is getting a little makeover in 2015 - putting the power of selecting the winner is your hands via voting system. Interested artists need to send Southbound their applications, from which they will finalise a shortlist of bands they feel have been working hard/making waves in the WA music scene. With a little help from reputable WA music media outlets The Music, Xpress and, urm... us, three finalists will be selected, and each media outlet will pick one finalist to root for during the month of November. All three finalists will be showcased one night in November (TBA), and finally, once your votes are tallied, the winner will be revealed. The winner of Stagebound will open the Big Top stage on Saturday 3 January at Southbound 2015, plus voters go in the running to win a double Happy Camper pass. Here's what you need to do:  ARTISTS If you would like your band to be considered as a f

Alison Wonderland - Cold Video Clip
The clip for Cold draws some inspiration from the recent Warehouse Project Tour.. Following the horror-inspired visuals for the clip to I Want U, and our own video dude's effort on second single Lies, today sees the release of a new clip for Alison Wonderland's latest single and Lido colab - Cold. Taking place in a dark underground moshpit, it features everyone bar Alison stuck on loop, with director Prad Senanayake (The Presets, Aston Shuffle) drawing inspiration from one of Alison Wonderland's recent warehouse project shows. Senanayake was blown away by the intensity of energy that he saw and seeing the tiny figure of Alison being uniquely unaffected the mayhem of the crowd that surrounded/engulfed her. Enjoy below, and catch Alison at Stranded Festival this weekend, before appearances at Falls & Southbound in a few months. Follow Alison Wonderland: FACEBOOK // WEBSITE
