The legendary UK electro-rockers will be bringing Delta Riggs, Sand Pebbles and Sugar Army along for their December jag.

"Maybe we haven’t played enough yet. I’ve still copped the odd drumstick to the back. Jamie breaks them or something. He doesn’t really listen to me, we’ve discovered."

"I’m not the most patient man ever. I was like, ‘How long’s is this gonna take?’ And Todd and everyone were like, ‘Uh, about four hours?’ So I was sitting there for four hours every night for a week, and people had to feed me beer and cigarettes. It was pretty weird."

The band hit the road to promote their second album

Although it doesn’t have as many immediate singles as its predecessor, Summertime Heavy still does an admirable job of rocking out in a bold and uncompromising manner, and if you give the record the time and appreciation that it deserves, you’ll be duly rewarded with some expansive and ambitious west coast rock.

It’s no coincidence that the album is titled for this particular phrase as you get the feeling it was a tough few years for Sugar Army. With a record of this quality though, things should start to get significantly lighter.

From the get go, it is clear the record is more refined than the debut The Parallels Amongst Ourselves.

In the two years the band have been away the older songs have changed a little, making the set a very cohesive whole with new single Hooks For Hands and Summertime Heavy the stand outs of the new bunch.
