However, while Robot Vs. Art is 15% short of being a spectacular show (to use their jargon) it is definitely a stand out of MICF and well worth checking out.

Darkness and Light is definitely worth a visit.

Capital Punishment, however, is just as tired and slow as the tram you will have to take home after the show.

“[The show] is about lying; about how to lie and how to spot a liar. It has lots of anecdotes about how people lie to themselves, and how lying is important."

The script is tight and the show is snappy with a run time of 45 minutes.

However, for someone wanting some “serious” comedy, this show is definitely worth checking out.

While two thirds of the show is improvised every night you feel that no matter what you do, the performers have seen it all before in their 16 years touring together.

“I’m lucky in a sense because 1994 (the year of the first elections and end of Apartheid) was my last year of high school.”

They have plenty of new songs and gags about tax, MILFs and how their 20s weren’t actually that golden.

This play is only mildly appealing in an anachronistic sense and as an insight into modern Australia, it is sadly lacking.
