Apartmentocalypse centres around three housemates who have unwittingly survived the total and utter collapse of society. It's not that bad though because there is still electricity and the landlines work. The show pokes fun at shared accommodation and the constant negotiation required to maintain a cohesive household.
The script is tight and the show is snappy with a run time of 45 minutes. The performances by the cast are good but they are not spectacular and each actor has an unfortunate tendency to spoon feed gags to the audience through over-exaggerated gestures. Honestly, the cast would benefit from realizing that audiences aren't that stupid. However, the show is definitely worth checking out on the quality of the writing alone but it would be interesting to see the show performed by a group of actors who aren't involved in writing process as they would bring a new perspective to the piece.
