Role Model is impossibly fun, and what could’ve been nothing more than a run around the park for old times’ sake instead stands as one of Bodyjar’s best albums. Now, to dust off the skateboard.

They swing back into the set with Crawl Back, before a run through of tracks including Don’t Need Nothing, Sno Fun, Can’t Feel A Thing and the instrumental ditty Monkey In The Kitchen, which is completely hypnotic with its repetitive riffs.

Spanning much of their decade-plus career, tonight upbeater So Hard For You stood strongly next to the gorgeous harmony-driven Hey Rain, while covers in between also got a go.

The evening was an amazing exploration into the relationship between sound and visual, and as the audience departed, there was a shared understanding that they had just experienced something extraordinary.

Tonight’s show is hit and miss, but the massive throng are all smiles as they head into the equally massive carpark which is most likely all that matters.
