Cull might just be Sydney’s best.

In actuality, it should probably have been the audience thanking them for putting on a really cool show.

Vedder and Hansard gave us more than we deserved, both in terms of commitment and time.

Whilst wherever they are they’ll always possess the soul of the Mali blues, with one of the most evocative electric guitar sounds around, six albums down it’s these subtle cross-cultural communications that see them expand their palette and continue to feel vital.

A version of Bob Dylan’s Wagon Wheel underlines the appeal of Women In Docs – instinctive melodies and good clean fun musical times.

It’s a change from the pop-punk stylings of their original band, Say Anything, for Jake and Jeff Turner; a considered sound that reverberates long after the listener puts down their headphones.
