Live Review: Take a 9050km trip with THYLACINE for the 'Train' video

THYLACINE has just unveiled his video for his song 'Train' and it's a visual masterpiece.

THYLACINE has just unveiled his video for his song 'Train' and it's a visual masterpiece.

Transsiberian, the album from which 'Train' hails, was always an usual album. A concept album composed entirely during a train trip between Moscow and Vladivostok (a 9050km trip right across the breadth of Russia) it was destined to be as unusual as it's conception.

If the album takes inspiration from the people and places William Reze (aka Thylacine) visited then the video takes inspiration from the journey itself.

The stunning visuals begin with passing lights through train windows and then slowly expand into ever moving shots of passing scenery. Shot in a fast paced way that gives the impression of movement, the camera increases pace with the music moving as if controlled by the song. With all of it's movement and contrasting landscapes, the video for 'Train' really encaptures the essence of travelling. With the chosen visuals chosen in striking and contrasting colours, there is never a dull moment in which the video fails to fascinate.
