Sydney-based producer GEORGE MICHELLE teamed up with US duo Separate Ways for their latest 90s-inspired house single, 'Keep Me Waiting'. Until just last year, Michelle was releasing material via Bandcamp and exclusive vinyl pressings, and since then, his evolution as an artist has taken him to fresh, pop-friendly new heights. He last year signed with Sydney-based label etcetc, who are also responsible for the likes of Fisher, Luke Million, Donatachi, Clypso and more.
The anticipated heartfelt clip for 'Keep Me Waiting' evokes feelings of nostalgia that is seamlessly paired with groove-led synths and eclectic vocals. Michelle and Separate Ways say that "this song encompasses thinking you could take it slow by setting boundaries and doing what you thought was best, but ultimately giving in to how irresistible it felt when you were together."
The clip follows a hopeless, coming-of-age romantic storyline, where viewers follow a blossoming love story and then a gradual decline into an irreparable relationship. and the self-written four-minute clip gives us a sense that this is a defining moment for Michelle's career, and it's exciting to see what more work he will bring to the surface. Michelle's music continues to be emotionally charged and this collaboration has resulted in some of his best work yet.
