Live Nation’s Ones To Watch series returns next month, taking over The Outpost in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, aligning with this year’s BIGSOUND.

Ones To Watch, backed by American Apparel, has secured a new cohort of talented Australian artists to join the growing roster of stars the series celebrates.

The program returns to BIGSOUND on Thursday, 3 September, and will feature three performers: Holly Hebe, in an exclusive performance, as well as Eli Wan and Jem Cassar-Daley.

Fans interested in attending the Ones To Watch showcase can enter this competition to win a double pass. Entries close on Thursday, 27 August, and winners will be contacted on Friday, 28 August, via email. You can find out more about the competition here.

Holly Hebe, hailing from Melbourne, is a rising pop singer-songwriter who’s proven to be one of Australia’s brightest talents. She recently cemented her first-ever ARIA #1 on the Australian Album Charts with the release of her latest EP, Mood Ring, just six years after making her musical debut.

Meanwhile, Brisbane local Eli Wan made his debut last year with the unforgettable single, pixeldust+18.

Through his prolific rise, Wan has revealed that he’s inspired by the likes of Porter Robinson and The Avalanches, while his music evokes warmth and plenty of excitement. Raised between Korean and Australian cultures, his music follows the theme of “both seen and unseen” in the digital age.

The upcoming showcase has also secured award-winning Gumbaynggirr Bundjalung indie-pop artist Jem Cassar-Daley.

Since making her debut in 2022, Cassar-Daley has built an impressive body of work, culminating in the forthcoming release of her first full-length album, tattoos used to come off in the pool, later this month.

In a statement, Live Nation Australia Promoters Emily Taylor and Paul Lynch expressed excitement about the forthcoming Ones To Watch line-up.

“ONES TO WATCH is about finding emerging artists we genuinely believe in and giving them opportunities to connect with new audiences at important moments in their careers,” the pair said.

They continued, “BIGSOUND takes that opportunity to another level, giving artists the chance to perform in front of some of the most influential people from across the music industry.

“We’re incredibly excited about this year’s line-up — Holly Hebe, Eli Wan and Jem Cassar-Daley are three artists we’re really excited about, and we can’t wait to see them take the stage. It’s also been great to continue building our partnership with American Apparel® and work together to create more opportunities for upcoming Australian talent.”

Ones To Watch provides the music industry and fans opportunities to see some of the country’s most promising emerging talent perform in intimate venues across the country.

The North American edition of the showcase has spotlighted artists such as Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo, and Halsey, while in Australia, Ones To Watch has platformed acts including Miles Nautu, Gazal, Lara Buchanan, DEVAURA, DRIZZ, Lotte Gallagher, Chanel Loren, J-MILLA, Adrian Dzvuke, Forest Claudette, Teenage Joans, Carla Wehbe, Mariae Cassandra, Loren Ryan, Dem Mob, and many others.
