A few awkward spaces, such as in Forward Miles, leave the band room to improve next time around.

Album titles at times can be pointless, misleading or plain stupid. At other times they can be the perfect reflection of the record's contents. Midnight Set, by New South Wales collective Mt Warning, is an album that is at its best after midnight, when its reflective, textured sound has the best chance of seeping into the darkness all around. The band – songwriter Mikey Bee in particular – had grand ambitions for Midnight Set, and for the most part achieved them. However, a few awkward spaces, such as in Forward Miles, leave the band room to improve next time around.
