"Maybe there was just too much good music for the hotel to handle."
With lights dimmed and curtains drawn, the Four5Nine Bar is an intimate venue for a singles release, but still has enough room to dance.
One-man band Petrichoral set out onto the stage with guitar in hand ready to show the crowd a good time with opener, On The Run. Simon Bazeley's guitar skills were remarkable, while his singing was pretty impressive, especially when he covered Golden Brown by The Stranglers and It Girl by The Brian Jonestown Massacre before closing with Lucy.
Just when you thought Bazeley was done, he walked back on stage with the band he is in, Braves, who launched into First Train To Squaresville and I Don't Surf. Their set was full of energy and fast-paced, covering many of their songs including Saw You and Get It Right. They nailed an indie cover of My Girl by The Temptations.
Della Fern kicked off their set with These Deals, changing the atmosphere into the dimly-lit bar before launching into Something In My Mind. Grace Eggers' voice is incredible. One cannot compare it to the recorded material — her voice live just blows you out of the water. They ended their great set with Say You're Not.

The bar filled with excitement and energy when Iceage Sugar entered to kick off the second night of their single launch tour with Fairies and Seaweed. The guys changed it up with a new cover; however they weren't sure if the crowd would like it as it had had mixed reactions the night before. They nervously launched into a cover of Jonas Brothers' Burnin' Up, which the crowd loved.
Sometime (Take You Out) was the new single everyone was waiting to hear, sending the room into dance frenzy. Four5Nine Bar was an ideal choice of venue as the acoustics in the bar were great, making their music stand out more. If it were a bigger room, their music wouldn't have created the same atmosphere it did in this intimate bar. The guys covered Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood and I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor by Arctic Monkeys before finishing the set with their own song Sweat. The night came to an end with alarm bells ringing, the fire alarm at the Rosemount Hotel going off — maybe there was just too much good music for the hotel to handle.
