Sydney-based The Mess Hall have announced a one-off show in Melbourne as they build momentum from their recent sold out one-off Sydney gig.

The boys have experienced considerable success together, their album The Devil's Elbow won the Australian Music Prize in 2007, and it's amazing to comprehend that their last album For The Birds hit shelves all the way back in 2009.

This is because duo have also a been a bit busy succeeding apart.

Vocalist and guitarist Jed Kurzel picked up awards and acclaim for his score of Aussie film Snowtown, also writing music for TV series Spirited and completing his latest feature film soundtrack for the to-be-released film Dead Europe, meanwhile drummer Cec Condon formed collective Machete Moon with Myles Heskett, Chris Ross and Spod.
