Yungblud’s recent Australian tour concluded on Tuesday (20 January). With huge shows across the country this month, his latest album, IDOLS, has catapulted to the top of the ARIA Albums Chart.

Released in June 2025, IDOLS was preceded by the singles Hello Heaven, Hello, Lovesick Lullaby, and Zombie. The British musician’s fourth album has since been nominated for Best Rock Album at next month’s Grammy Awards.

IDOLS sat at #12 on the ARIA Albums Chart last week, and the post-tour high has taken it to #1—overtaking the reigning top album, Olivia Dean’s The Art of Loving.

Reacting to the news, Yungblud shared ecstatic photos of himself holding his ARIA #1 plaque and wrote on social media, “Idols has gone in at NUMBER 1 in AUSTRALIA 6 months after its release. I cannot thank you all enough. Rock n roll. The greatest tour,” followed by emojis of the Australian flag, a kangaroo, and a black heart.

While in Australia this month, Yungblud didn’t just play his shows; he also went to Crowbar Brisbane after performing at the Riverstage and took on a bartending shift.

He initially teased that he’d be bartending on social media, writing to fans: “Mornin fuckers imma be working a shift tonight at Crowbar Brisbane after the show, come down I’ll pour you a pint.”

Crowbar Brisbane confirmed that it was actually happening, sharing a poster and adding: “it’s true - @yungblud will be pouring beers for us tonight, kick on after Riverstage tonight, there will be more surprises in store…

“First in best dressed, you don’t wanna miss this.”

The venue owners weren’t kidding about surprises, as Yungblud’s support act, local rockers Dune Rats, performed on the same night that Yungblud poured beers.

Earlier this month, Yungblud met up with fans at Sydney’s Behind The Gallery, which is currently featuring an exhibition by photographer Tom Pallant spotlighting the singer, and received calls to the police due to massive crowds.
