As Yungblud readies himself to kick off his latest Australian tour, his dedicated fanbase has shown up in full force to share a warm welcome, with the police even being called due to the massive turnout.

Touching down in Australia yesterday, Yungblud arrived a few days prior to the kick-off of his IDOLS world tour, which launches at Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena on Saturday, January 10th.

The singer's first night in New South Wales was spent attending a private opening of the Yungblud: IDOLS photo gallery, an exhibition of work by British photographer Tom Pallant and presented by Behind The Gallery at 551 King Street in Newtown.

With excitement rising for the exhibition's official launch on Thursday, January 8th, Yungblud stoked excitement by telling fans on social media to head along to the event, before confirming he too would be in attendance.

"I’m going to be going down to that exhibition," he told fans. "So, come meet me. Come say hello, come give me a cuddle, come give me a kiss."

As one would expect, fans turned out in droves, with Behind The Gallery noting on Instagram that attendees had been lining up since 6:30am.

The massive response was even enough for the police to attend the gathering. Despite the large crowd size warranting the presence of law enforcement, no issues were reported, though police required the event to end earlier than first planned.

"Yo guys, I love you so much, thank you for coming out," Yungblud said in a voice memo shared to his Instagram fan channel. "That got a bit fuckin’ hectic, didn’t it? The cops said we had to move on because it was just getting fucking mad.

"I love you all, and I can’t wait – I’ll see you Saturday," he added. "Enjoy Tom’s exhibition, go in, look at the photos. They’re really beautiful, he did really well. Love you guys."

Pallant's exhibition will run until January 11th.

In November, Yungblud was forced to cancel a number of tour dates in late 2025 after a routine series of voice and blood tests had raised concerns with his doctor, who recommended the cancellation of the remaining 2025 dates on his IDOLS World Tour.

“It is in my nature to run and run until I run myself to the ground without giving a fuck about anything apart from the music and you guys but this time I've been told I have to take it seriously and I can't fuck around,” he explained.

Thankfully, the Australian leg of Yungblud's tour was confirmed to be going ahead as planned. It all kicks off in Sydney on January 10th, with remaining tickets on sale now.
