The Victorian heavyweights are launching the new goods at home in April
They say you can't rush genius, which is perhaps why Melbourne five-piece Circles have only just dropped their first track since 2013's debut LP Infinitas in fresh new single Sand & Wind.
The new track is an unrelentingly speedy yet technically accomplished track full of hooks and soaring vocals, and comes as the band prepare for a big 2016 ahead, with an as yet unnamed album due out this year and a recent line-up change, having recently welcomed new guitarist Ben Rechter (Glass Empire) into the fold.
Circles' sophomore album has been in gestation for about a year, being worked on in between touring. The band's drummer, Dave Hunter, said the new album would be a departure from their first full-length, a conscious decision that has noticeably informed the construction of the new batch of tracks.

"One thing we all agreed on was that we didn't want to write Infinitas 2.0," Hunter said in a statement.
"Without giving too much away, this will be a side of Circles that people wouldn't have heard before, and we're really excited about it!"
To celebrate Ben's addition to the band — as well as the arrival of the new single ahead of its full-length counterpart — Circles are putting on a launch at Fitzroy's The Workers Club on 1 April.
