WAM Announces 2021 Song Of The Year Nominees & Ceremony Details

Jack Davies & The Bush Chooks, Carla Geneve and more are up for Song Of The Year awards.

The 2021 nominees have been revealed for the annual West Australian Music (WAM) Song Of The Year Awards.

Recognising the best in local songwriting across a plethora of genres, the awards looks to shepherd budding artists and help kickstart their careers in the industry, with this year’s nominees in the running for a share of over $45,000 in prizes.

The awards will take over the much-loved Freo.Social on June 30 for a night of live tunes and accolades, with Jack Davies & The Bush Chooks, Carla Geneve, Timothy Nelson, Pat Chow and more vying for various gongs.

Performances will come from local faves and 2021 nominees Chaos Divine, Wasteland, Sydnee Cartner and Detour.

Previous winners include the likes of Stella Donnelly, Abbe May, Kucka and Benji Bjah
