Dua LipaThe world’s most well-travelled pop star, Dua Lipa, has revealed her favourite spots to grab a bite, buy a record, and more from across the globe—including Australia.
She’s dropped her list following the announcement that Google Maps has joined forces with the global editorial and cultural platform, Service95, which Lipa co-founded.
As a result, the Don’t Start Now singer has shared her personal travel guide. Her selections can be found in a blog post published by Google, and when you search for Melbourne, Sydney, London, Barcelona, and many other cities in the Google Maps app.
Dua Lipa-approved restaurants, bars and stores are – with her words:
Hope Street Radio, Melbourne: “Hope Street Radio in Melbourne has great music, a really considered wine list, and an atmosphere that manages to be both cool and welcoming”
Ester, Sydney: “Ester in Sydney is wood-fired cooking and excellent natural wine in a room that always has great energy. The menu changes constantly, and there's a real confidence to the cooking that I love. A Sydney essential.”

10 William Street, Sydney: “10 William Street in Paddington is one of those places that just gets it right. Great Italian-influenced natural wine list, brilliant food, and a room that feels like it belongs somewhere in Rome or Naples.”
Paperback, Melbourne: “Paperback in Melbourne is a tiny bookshop in Fitzroy with a clear sense of what it loves. Literary fiction, translated literature, and small press titles. The staff recommendations are worth trusting — it's a great browse.”
Plug Seven, Melbourne: “One of my favourite places for vinyl is Plug Seven record shop in Melbourne, because of its eclectic selections. It also has 7 inches as collectibles, and they’re often buying rare collections.”
Dua Lipa brought her Radical Optimism tour to Australia last March. Reviewing one of the singer’s sold-out Melbourne shows, The Music’s Monique La Terra wrote, “The show closed with Houdini, a bold, shimmering anthem with an assertive bassline that sounded even better live, leaving the audience with a lasting sense of empowerment.
“In fact, the entire night was a lesson in harnessing one’s power, with Lipa’s performance fuelling a confidence that lingered long after the final note.”
Each night on her Australian run, the British singer-songwriter performed a “surprise song” and ensured that each song she covered was recorded by an Australian artist. Check out the full list here.
