One hardcore band that myself and a lot of the KYS crowd here have been really hanging out to see a debut album form in 2018 is Boston, Massachusetts group, Vein. We all knew that their first full-length was coming this year, just not when it would arrive exactly. But now it's been fully revealed and I for one am stoked on this news.
Vein's upcoming debut album 'errorzone' drops on June 22nd, 2018 via the folks over at Closed Casket Activities and it follows a string of solid EP releases; 2013's self-titled release, 2015's emotionally deranged 'Terror Realms' and 2017's ridiculously short but mentally good 7", 'Self-Destruct'. This new record was engineered, mixed and mastered by the usual heavy music producer suspect, Will Putney at Graphic Nature Audio, back in November 2017; hopefully meaning that Vein's bleak and therapy-session brand of raw hardcore will sound its smoothest and cleanest iteration yet.
First track off the ranks, 'virus://vibrance' is the opening cut off Vein's long-awaited debut full-length, and the band are streaming this new song right bloody now. And unsurprisingly, it's great: a chaotic and mosh-pit inducing mixture of hardcore/metalcore undertones, violent vocal deliveries, some nice drum'n'bass samples, tasty Slipknot vibes, and strong nu-metal riffs.
