"We see ourselves as connecting the fragmented world of music rights in one place."
Introduced in beta last year with an intention to gain industry feedback, trading and licensing music rights platform Songtradr has officially launched this week.
Founded out of LA by Australian expat and renowned songwriter/producer, Paul Wiltshire, the platform is used by publishers, labels, independent artists and other rights holders worldwide to manage their masters and copyrights, while also allowing their catalogues to be discovered by those in the film, TV, and advertising world.
"We see ourselves as connecting the fragmented world of music rights in one place," said Wiltshire.
"It's a complicated industry, where one piece of music can have numerous identifiers, depending on who owns or represents master recordings, publishing rights, performance rights, and more."

Using Songtradr, artists and composers can collaborate and find buyers, publishers and labels who can then use the platform's free management system to organise extensive inventory.
