"I am truly honoured."

Get ready to flip out because some big Aussie acts have just landed a spot on the soundtrack for the upcoming Tony Hawk's Pro Skater remaster.

Back in May, it was announced that the 1999 original and 2000 sequel of the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater video games would be remastered and re-released for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC on 4 September.

The games were known for their killer soundtracks, and so it’s not surprising that these gems have made the cut - Alex Lahey's Misery Guts, A Swayze & The Ghosts' Connect To Consume, Baker Boy's In Control, and DZ Deathrays' IN-TO-IT.

They'll join some of the game's iconic soundtrack regulars including Millencolin, Rage Against The Machine, Goldfinger and Papa Roach.

"Getting word that my song Misery Guts was going to be included in the relaunch of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+ 2 was honestly a career highlight,” Lahey told The Music

“The original games are a cornerstone of my relationship with my brother and so many of our friends. I have many fond memories playing the games growing up, all of which are so strongly linked to the music curation.

“I discovered so many artists through playing the game, who shaped my approach to making music and I am truly honoured to now be included in the Tony Hawk Pro Skater world."
