Earlier this month, Bluesfest completed its star-studded 2025 artist line-up with the addition of Tom Morello and Electric Cadillac.

Today, Bluesfest Tours announces that the Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave, and Prophets Of Rage icon (plus a former member of Bruce Springsteen’s E-Street Band) won’t just perform at Bluesfest Byron Bay; he’ll also perform two sideshows.

Before his performances at Bluesfest on Thursday, 17, and Friday, 18 April, Morello will perform at Melbourne’s Forum on Sunday, 13 April, and Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Wednesday, 16 April.

Heading to Australia as a solo act for the first time in over a decade, Morello will be promoting his first-ever full-length solo rock album along with a mix of career-defining hits such as Killing In The Name, Like A Stone, Bulls On Parade, Guerilla Radio, and stacks more.

Pre-sale tickets will be available on Wednesday, 19 February, at 11 am AEDT before the general sale opens on Thursday, 20 February, at 11 am AEDT. Tickets will be available via the Bluesfest Tours website.

Joining Morello as the special guest will be the debut performances by Big Noter. The new project of Australian hip-hop star Briggs, a press release notes that the rapper and comedy writer will trade “beats for guitar riffs” and embrace his hardcore, punk, and metal roots.

Under the Big Noter moniker, Briggs has teamed up with American-born, Australian-based producer Nick DiDia (Bruce Springsteen, Rage Against The Machine, Powderfinger) to record his new album.

Reviewing Prophets Of Rage’s 2018 show at the Hordern Pavilion for The Music, Brendan Crabb said of the unusual yet brilliant blend of Rage Against The Machine, Public Enemy, and Cypress Hill members: “You could argue this middle-aged crew has collectively already blazed their musical trail. Live, they still have something vital to express, however; as a certain band once posited, anger is a gift.”
