The Canadian troupe will make their debut at Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm next year
Canadian indie/folk/alt-country six-piece The Strumbellas are a perfect fit for Byron Bay Bluesfest's earnest, earthy vibe, and dedicated fans will have two opportunities to catch them at standalone shows in April next year.
The multi-award-winning outfit will play Northcote Social Club, in Melbourne, and Oxford Art Factory, in Sydney, following their appearance at the 28th camping festival.
Having only released their debut album in 2012, it's not too hard to believe that this will be The Strumbellas' debut performance at the event, but those five years actually entail far more achievement than one would expect, encompassing an EP (2009's self-titled), three full-lengths (including this year's Hope), multiple Juno Awards, longlisted status for the Polaris Music Prize and a swathe of other distinctions.
So, yeah, we're pretty sure they know what they're doing, and we're pretty sure you'll be in for a damn swell night if you decide to get in on this sweet sideshow action.
