The Seed Fund Announces This Year's Successful Applicants

A look at who will benefit from the John Butler established fund

The successful applicants across a number of categories for The Seed Fund have been named for 2013, it's been revealed today.

The John Butler established organisation have announced the grant winners in the catergories of Professional Development, Money For Managers, Publicise It and Art On The Street. Check out the full list below:

Professional Development [Total Funding - $8117]:

Peter Clark [will travel to Denmark to work with the Berlin Philharmonic's principal violist]
Adriano Cappelletta [to undertake mentoring sessions with acclaimed vocalist and guitarist Simon Rudston-Brown]
Saritah Newman [will work with Mohamad Kombra of Diafrix on beat production and skills]
Steve Allingham [will travel to Cuba to study and practice Afro Cuban Drumming with premier musician Yaroldy Abreu]

Money For Managers [Total Funding - $20,000]:

Anthony Zaccaria [to work on Look Lake album and Fractures album and tour campaigns]
Laura Wallbridge [will work on Gossling and Guineafowl album releases plus local and international touring opportunities]
Charles Wall [will focus on the release and national touring campaigns for Bobby Alu]
Mike Solo [to work on local and international campaigns for The Red Paintings and sleepmakeswaves, plus Dumbsaint album release]

Publicise It [Total Funding - $10,000]:

Jesse Barbera [will work with Remote Control Records on Jeremy Neal EP release and tour]
Meesha Astill [will work with Positive Feedback on the release and tour support of Rainy Day Women's album]

Art On The Street [Total Funding - $5000]:

b.o.m.b. [the Adelaide arts collective will get the opportunity to showcase their pop-up style exhibition]

Other initiatives that will benefit from The Seed Fund in 2013 include Skinnyfish, a partnership with Skinnyfish Music that looks after performance fees for Indigenous musicians, Bush Bands Business, which supports mentors that take part in the Alice Springs event and the Song Cycles INBOUND project.
