A look inside the inaugural edition

The first editions of theMusic.com.au's state-based The Music magazines will launch tomorrow around the country.

With local editions to be distributed around Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth, the inaugural edition includes a chat with teenage publishing powerhouse Tavi Gevinson, who tells us that while she's “from a middle class suburb” and is “a white girl” her magazine Rookie has enough people working for it now that it can cater for a lot more of the problems facing teenage girls. In fact, there's 80 people working for a magazine run by this 17-year-old.

Putting together both our frequent hunger and hangovers, we take a look at the Top Five Breakfast Places – from the gourmet 'take the parents to when they're in town' selections to the more 'give me something greasy right now' joints.

The Music also goes undercover at a private Clive Palmer 'call to action' cocktail party, wondering as we shake the mining magnate's hand that when Uncle Clive has more political appeal than the current Prime Minister, something's truly rotten in the state of Australian politics.

Lucky enough to grace the inaugural covers were Midnight Juggernauts, Dead Letter Circus and Foals and there's a ton of other features with local and international artists in each edition.  album reviews from Boy & Bear, No Age, Laura Viers and Ty Segall, gear reviews, live reviews from around the country and each city's top news.

It's all hitting a café, pub, live venue, retail store or street near you tomorrow.
