Bon Iver rocking up, a special set from DMA'S and more
Festivals like Glastonbury are always home to unbelievable sights and sounds, many of which are kept secret right until the last moment to enable optimum freak outs on Instagram and Twitter.
This year, with headliners Coldplay, Muse and Adele at the helm, here are some of the unexpected surprises that punters in Worthy Farm were treated to.
Though Coldplay have headlined Glastonbury on three other occasions, this year they made things special by inviting out The Bee Gees' Barry Gibb out to perform the iconic band's To Love Somebody and Stayin' Alive. As BBC reports, Gibb was slated in to play Glasto's "legend" slot but pulled out after a family emergency. Coldplay also honoured the recent death of local band Viola Beach by covering one of their songs.

Having recently released The Colour In Anything featuring Bon Iver's Justin Vernon, James Blake didn't waste a good opportunity to perform he and Vernon's song I Need A Forest Fire together at one of the UK's largest festivals. Blake also brought out Vince Staples during his set.

Our very own Oasis (even though they don't like that reference), DMA's surprised Glasto with a set on the William's Green stage. Eliciting huge singalongs from the crowd, take a look at a short video of the band playing Face Down.

Having lost as many music legends as we have this year, it's not really a surprise to see artists pay tribute to Prince or Bowie, but heartwarming nonetheless. Fatboy Slim had a groove out to Prince during his set, bathing his crowd in purple.

Pop queen Adele wasted no time candidly inviting a fan up on stage (she apparently burped in her face accidentally). Heralded as one of the highlights of Glastonbury this year, Adele also collected gifts from fans in the crowd, took to the stage with a cuppa and apparently was such an onstage potty mouth she could fill an entire swear jar.
