The plan was conceived as a result of the need to raise much needed funds to keep the venue afloat, with funds being utilised to help reduce its debts and pay for necessary upgrades to the band room and hotel exterior. Several musicians have already pledged their support for the campaign, but it will require the backing of a united Sydney music scene to achieve its goal.
