Sneaky Sound SystemYou'd be excused for thinking veteran Aussie electropop duo Sneaky Sound System had all but disappeared — their last album, From Here To Anywhere, was released almost five years ago — but it turns out they've just been lying in wait, ready to claim the spotlight once more.
After a couple of tracks quietly dropped in the interim, they've done just that with new single I Ain't Over You, nabbing the week's highest debut across both the Albums (tied) and Singles rankings in this week's Carlton Dry Independent Music Charts, taking the #3 spot on entry. Their nearest new-face competitor comes from reliable rhymesmiths Spit Syndicate, whose Know Better makes its landing just outside the top 10, at #13.
Sia remains unmoved from the top of the Singles pile with Cheap Thrills, also trading places with The Rubens to see her track Alive drop to #5 while Hoops rises to #4. The 1000 Forms Of Fear scribe has two more songs in the top 10 to boot — Chandelier is down to #9 from #6 last week, knocking Elastic Heart into the #10 slot. Additionally, Flume's Never Be Like You, featuring Kai, stays at #2 for another week, while Urthboy (Long Loud Hours ft. Bertie Blackman, #11) and Vance Joy (Georgia, #20) both enjoy re-entries to the top 20.
In the full-length chart, the top-placing debut matches Sneaky Sound System's efforts, with Citipointe Live shepherding Into The Deep to #3 on entry. Veteran Aussie musician Richard Clapton puts up a solid fight with The House Of Orange, stepping out inside the top 10 at #7, while indie darlings Tinpan Orange also make the cut with Love Is A Dog, making their debut at #16.

Unsurprisingly, Sia retains the top spot on the Albums chart too, with This Is Acting, as well as claiming back-to-back top-10 spots for 1000 Forms Of Fear (#5) and Best Of... (#6). The Cat Empire (Rising With The Sun, #2) and Urthboy (The Past Beats Inside Me Like A Second Heartbeat, #4) round out the top five, while re-entries for full-lengths this week come from Flume (Flume, #10), Sticky Fingers (Caress Your Soul, #18) and Flight Facilities (Down To Earth, #20).
