The US comedian performs an unannounced support slot in Sydney
Visiting US comedian Sarah Silverman made an unexpected appearance as support act to John C Reilly at Sydney's The Factory last night.
Reilly, who drops the 'C' from his name for gigs, and Silverman are both in Australia to promote the upcoming Disney animation film Wreck-It Ralph.
While here Reilly arranged some small shows for his country band John Reilly & Friends while Silverman is booked to do stand-up in bigger rooms around the country.
However last night, Reilly walked out on stage following a set by local country troubadour Steve Smyth and announced that he had "a really good friend" coming on stage before his own band.

Borrowing a guitar from Smyth, Silverman appeared on stage to deliver a 15 minute routine that included a performance of her 'Diva Song' ("If you call yourself a diva, you'd better be a singer").
Silverman's spot included liberal dropping of the very un-Disney c-bomb (intergral to the lyrics of her song) and her thoughts on adopting terminally ill babies (the comedian professed her love for babies but admitted she isn't such a big fan once they start to get older).
Reilly will be playing one more Australian show on Thursday night at the Northcote Social Club in Melbourne.
