Riley Pearce is set to release a tender and quietly inspiring track on Friday, May 15.
Good To Me Now sees the Western Australian singer-songwriter reflecting on how his idea of success has evolved over time and the tribulations of life. Co-written by Canadian songwriter Sam Lynch, the track offers a comforting hand to anyone worried about losing that youthful joy as they get older.
Pearce says that Good To Me Now is a representation of changing priorities. “Music and its place in my life has shifted somewhat since becoming a father, as other things take priority, and I've morphed music to fit my life instead of the inverse,” he explained.
“A part of that meant letting go of some dreams and making way for new ones, soaking myself in the gratitude of what I have been lucky enough to live through, what I presently surround myself with, and all that I have to look forward to. ‘Good To Me Now’ is a representation of these changing priorities.”
Good To Me Now follows the release of the two singles that marked the beginning of a new musical chapter for Pearce.
In March, he shared Like A River, an immersive exploration of burnout and the emotional weight of the creative grind - a track that showed massive vulnerability from Pearce and the mental strain that often comes with life as an artist. In contrast, April’s Magnets then offered a moment of calm reflection, written during the early days following his second daughter’s birth and grounded in the small, joyful moments that bring perspective.

Fresh off an April headline tour across the UK and Europe – with standout shows in Hamburg, Cologne, Paris, London, Manchester, and Glasgow- Pearce joined rising artists Philine and Jolé as support, plus a slot at Switzerland’s Zermatt Unplugged festival.
After the release of his sophomore album, It’s Your Turn Now, in June 2024, Pearce toured Australia, then supported Canadian trio Wild Rivers across Europe and the UK, later celebrating his breakout track Brave featuring in the season finale of hit series Maxton Hall.
Brave appeared on his 2016 debut EP. Since then, he’s racked up over 118 million global streams across 74 songs, six EPs, and two albums, with 24 of his tracks hitting over one million Spotify streams.
Tracks co-written with familiar Australian musicians Garrett Kato and Dustin Tebbutt earned Pearce an Honourable Mention at the 2021 International Songwriting Competition (ISC), and landed major sync deals for Maxton Hall, Netflix’s Love Victor, and US TV hits Shameless and Shadowhunters. Pearce’s music has drawn critical attention from publications like Rolling Stone, Atwood Magazine, Music Feeds and Milky, who praised his "honest songwriting, and relatable storytelling [that] has resonated both in Australia and overseas.”
