Eight months on from an unceremonious end to its 2024 event, the embattled Pitch Music & Arts Festival has officially confirmed its return for 2025.
Announced today, the 2025 edition of Pitch will be taking place at Moyston at its home in the Grampian Plains from March 7th to the 11th, 2025. The event will also be unveiling its upcoming lineup on Tuesday, November 19th.
Organisers began teasing Pitch 2025 on social media last week, and though details of the upcoming lineup remain under wraps, a pair of videos have been soundtracked by flight fm and better by Joy Orbison, perhaps hinting at one potential appearance.
The year will feature stages taking on new forms, including a “bigger and bolder” Pitch One stage, a re-imagined Pitch Black, and the iconic red orb of the Resident Advisor stage returning. There’s also a return of the festival’s Arts Programme, Pitch Pavillion wellness area, and Precinct.
A new addition will be Club Serra, which has been designed as an ode to community with its programming carefully curated to celebrate local talent.

The upcoming edition of Pitch follows on from their seventh outing which took place in March of this year. Unexpectedly, it was a controversial affair owing to three suspected drug overdoses including one death, and patrons being asked to leave the site on Sunday afternoon after severe heatwave conditions caused fire authorities to mandate the event’s closure.
Weeks after the event, organisers revealed that punters are eligible for refunds for this year’s iteration, noting they had been "working around the clock" to navigate the challenges that such the unexpected conditions brought with it.
Earlier this month, event organisers Untitled Group explained to patrons that they had reflected on the 2024 event and that there would be changes.
“Our reflections on last year’s event have now evolved into actioning our learnings. Whilst there are elements beyond our influence (such as weather conditions), we’ve been focusing our attention on aspects that are within our control”.
Organisers have upgraded their emergency management plans, implemented more shade and drink stations to address heat concerns, upgraded on-ground communication with “helper hubs” and speaker systems, upgraded wifi and mobile coverage and will provide more “harm reduction” and crowd care.
Tickets to the 2025 edition of Pitch are available via a ballot system, with sign-ups available now.
