Drum'n'bass breaks Mothers Day stranglehold
Perth drum'n'bass breakout ShockOne has debuted at two on the ARIA Album Chart this week, having been beaten only by Michael Buble's To Be Loved.
The Australian DJ's Universus is his first to chart and was expected to crack the top five thanks to his Groovin The Moo duties and solo shows. This is Buble's third week at number one and it looks set to continue thanks to his Mothers' Day appeal.
The second highest debut was 19-year-old X-Factor contestant Jason Owen's Life Is A Highway at five, with The Voice's Rachael Leahcar at 13 with Romantique. Anthony Callea's Mothers' Day-aimed Thirty entered the chart at 18 – he's hit number one once before, back in 2005. As a result, ShockOne was the only non-reality TV contestant to debut in the top 20 this week.
Snoop Dogg's Snoop Lion project Reincarnated managed 23 and OneRepublic 26 with Native.
