This Saturday and Sunday (June 15 and 16), Aussie performer Noah Skape will launch his epic punk rock meets sci-fi theatre experience, Specimens.
With special guests Cece Desist, Miss Phoria and Fusslenose, the show will take place at the Liberty Theatre basement on Barrack Street in Perth. The theatre experience is being held as part of this year’s STRANGE Festival (14-23 June).
According to a synopsis, Specimens follows a father trying to protect his newborn child in a city gripped by headlines about missing people and the involvement of a suspected serial killer.
Specimens is Skape’s debut sci-fi/thriller story and is set to meet between a punk show and a play starring Perth’s finest musical performers and drag artists. Skape will be supported by multi-instrumentalist Huey Brazadich (Drapht).
In a statement, Skape said of his upcoming exclusive shows, “Specimens is a genre-defying theatrical concert blending live punk rock energy with a gripping sci-fi narrative.
“Exploring themes of humanity, identity, and acceptance, it follows a man's dark quest to secure his child's future, delving into the sobering consequences of his actions.
