As shared by The Music earlier this year, The Lord Of The Rings and The Beatles: Get Back director Peter Jackson confirmed a second The Beatles project with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. "Sure, there's moments of drama - but none of the discord this project has long been associated with," he said. "Watching John, Paul, George, and Ringo work together, creating now-classic songs from scratch, is not only fascinating - it's funny, uplifting and surprisingly intimate."
Fiona Apple will read Tolkien's poetry on Where The Shadows Lie, an anthem composed by Bear McCreary for The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power season finale. Her 2020 album, Fetch The Bolt Cutters, was dubbed one of our Top 30 Albums Of The Year.
"Inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien's iconic Ring-verse Poem, I wrote Where the Shadows Lie as a theme for the titular Rings of Power... To embody these story elements into one voice is no small task, and so I am especially grateful to have collaborated with legendary singer Fiona Apple," McCreary wrote on Twitter. "Inarguably one of the definitive musical voices of her generation, Fiona brought new depths and narrative intention to the song."
