One of Sydney's most iconic venues has been put on the market, after being a symbolic home of rock music since the 1980s. The owners of the pub, brothers Dan and Matt Rule, have decided to sell The Annandale after owning it since 2000 and reinvigorating it as a live music venue.

Kentucky punks Coliseum and Canadian hardcore outfit Burning Love have released some details about their forthcoming split live LP. The fourth volume in the "Live At The Atlantic" series, the effort will feature live sets from both bands which were captured at the Atlantic in Gainesville, Florida on June 27 last year.

Belgian death metal veterans Aborted will begin recording its seventh full-length record to date from June onwards at the infamous Hansen Studios with producer Jacob Hansen (Invocator, Hatesphere, Volbeat).  The band will be tracking over 15 tracks of the most brutal and intense material they have written to date

Californian Powerviolence/ D-Beat band Nails, who feature hardcore veteran Todd Jones (Betrayed, ex- Terror) have released a video for their tracks 'Conform/Scum Will Rise', the first two tracks off their release 'Unsilent Death' (Southern Lord). The video can be seen here.

Trapped Under Ice singer Justice Tripp has apologised over the assault of a fan in Essen, Germany while on tour as a part of the Rebellion Tour with Madball. The assaulted fan received a broken jaw and had to be fitted with two screws as part of the operation to fix his jaw. Justice issued this statement regarding the incident. "First off I'd like to say I'm sorry for not getting this done sooner. We've had very limited Internet access over here in Europe. There are a lot of things being said about the events in Essen a few days ago. Some are true some are not. I would first like to clarify that I didn't do what I did out of ANGER but what I thought was self defense. When I was knocked off the stage I hit my head, a lot of stuff after that is a blur. However it is clear that I took it too far and I'm sorry for that. Id like to keep the other parties name out of this, as I'm not certain if he is comfortable with being named.
