Three people have been charged in relation to the sudden passing of British singer Liam Payne, after his tragic fall from an Argentinian hotel balcony in October.
The 31-year-old singer was found to have ingested several substances in the lead-up to his death, with authorities ruling out suicide due to video evidence emerging of Payne passing out before falling off the balcony.
"The results of the toxicological studies which have been communicated to his family revealed that, in the moments prior to his death and over a period covering at least his last 72 hours, Payne had traces of polydrug use of alcohol, cocaine and a prescription antidepressant in his body,” prosecutors revealed.
Prosecutors have now identified three suspects believed to have supplied Payne with the substances found in the toxicology report. A hotel employee, a suspected drug dealer, and a friend of Payne have all been charged for supplying, as well as neglecting Payne in his hotel room in a vulnerable state.

Payne passed away in mid-October. Fans were shocked as little evidence could reveal the cause of the fall. According to reports, staff at the Buenos Aires hotel Payne was staying in had called police not long before the incident, citing that a hotel guest was “drunk with drugs and alcohol”.
“We are afraid he could do something that threatens life,” staff said on the phone to authorities.
Meanwhile, a member of hotel staff was found to have supplied Payne with cocaine twice while staying at the hotel. A second suspect spent most of the Argentina trip in close contact with Payne, supplying him with narcotics before abandoning him before his time of death. The third suspect was accused of supplying the singer with cocaine on October 14th, just 2 days before his passing.
While the names of those charged have not been revealed, the accused persons are prohibited from leaving the country while under arrest.
