Earlier this week, a posthumous Liam Payne song was reported to be released on Friday. However, the song’s producer has since posted on social media and confirmed that the release has been postponed.

Grammy-winning producer and artist Sam Pounds wrote in a since-deleted post on X (formerly known as Twitter) that a song called Do No Wrong would be released this Friday (1 November).

“I pray that this will be a blessing to the world like Liam has always dreamed,” Pounds wrote, teasing the new release (via People).

“I pray angels will comfort you all everyday while listening. I pray that this song will be a blessing to Ruth, Bear, and the entire family. I pray that this song eclipses the negative echoes. I pray supernatural positive healing power will embrace each and every one of you… With love let’s all BE the blessing.”

In a follow-up post on X, Pounds announced that the song will not be released yet out of respect for Payne’s family.

“Today I’m deciding to hold Do No Wrong and leave those liberties up to all family members,” Pounds wrote. “I want all proceeds [to] go to a charity of their choosing (or however they desire).

“Even though we all love the song it’s not the time yet. We are all still [mourning] the passing of Liam and I want the family to [mourn] in peace and in prayer. We will all wait. With love Sam Pounds.”

The track would have followed Payne’s most recent song, Teardrops, released in March of this year.

Liam Payne passed away earlier this month (16 October) after falling from the balcony of his hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He reportedly fell to the hotel courtyard from a 13 or 14-metre height.

Last week, an initial toxicology report was unveiled following his passing, revealing that he had “pink cocaine” and other substances in his system.

Sources have also told The Mirror (US) that Payne was in the wrong place at the wrong time, with CCTV footage reportedly showing the moment the singer fainted and fell from the balcony. His passing is still being investigated.
