Acclaimed Australian producer Plutonic Lab will make his long-awaited return to releasing solo albums next month, finally announcing the release of Deep Above The Noise, the follow-up to his critically acclaimed 2005 LP Codes Over Colours, for next month.

The fourth album from the Australian Music Prize nominee and Mercury Music Prize winner boasts 12 tracks and features an array of high-profile vocal guests from around the world, including Guilty Simpson — who features on Plutonic Lab's new cut The Crib, the video for which has just been unveiled — as well as Miles Bonny, Coma-ChiNotes To Self BBRC and Melbourne's own MoMO (IAMMMXO).

It's not like Plutonic Lab — Leigh Ryan to the taxman — has been slouching about for the past decade-plus, of course; the man is an icon of the local and international scenes, having lent his talents to more than 80 releases in collaboration with everyone from Hilltop Hoods, Drapht and Dialectrix (he produced the rapper's 2013 album The Cold Light Of Day) to internationals such as Wiley, G-Love and Fatlip.

His distinguished career is sure to shine through on his eagerly anticipated fourth LP, which will see digital and vinyl release on Friday 17 June through Wax Museum Records. Check out the album art, full track list and clip for The Crib below.
