Aussie Rapper Continues Rapid Rise As Global Hit Cracks Local Top Ten

There’s no stopping emerging Australian artist Masked Wolf, who this week cracks the ARIA Singles chart top ten while continuing to dominate across the globe.

The Sydney rapper’s Astronaut In The Ocean has shot up to #8 on the Aussie charts this week and currently sits at #30 on the UK Singles chart and #37 US Billboard Hot 100.

Astronaut In The Ocean, which has already amassed has over 100 million streams on Spotify, has now spent five weeks in the top 50.

It’s also a huge day for ARIA, who unveiled major changes to the charts at the start of this week, confirming that, as of today, weekly figures will be released Fridays at 5pm instead of Saturdays and that each week’s #1 album will be revealed first on TikTok.

UK group Glass Animals hold onto #1 on the Singles chart for a fourth straight week with Heat Waves, while The Kid Laroi moves back up to #2 with Without You – he’s also jumped up to #2 on the Albums chart with Fuck Love (Savage).

Just ahead of The Kid Laroi on the Albums chart is Dua Lipa, whose Future Nostalgia moves back to #1 in its 51st week on the chart.

Also on the Albums chart, Rob Zombie’s The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy debuts at #10, followed by The Paper Kites Roses at #23.
