GLOSS and Runt! Records have teamed up to present ‘Bullet Bra,’ a stunning two-day mini music festival set to take place at Ancient World on December 6th and 7th.

Both GLOSS and Runt! Records are socially conscious music event collectives that prioritise the needs of and representation of women and gender-diverse people in the Adelaide music scene. Their collaboration has led to a stacked line-up of artists scheduled to delight the senses - the perfect way to usher in the last stretch of 2024.

They beckon all music-enjoyers to “come down to Ancient World to listen to the variety of musical genres and sounds of local female, gender non-conforming, and trans musicians and DJs.” Food, merchandise, and drink specials will also be available throughout the event.

Friday December 6th will see an all-ages line-up of bands, acoustic sets, and DJs curated specifically by Runt! Records.

Such bands performing from 7 pm onwards include The Vains, Pity Lips, Ammonite, JAWGEE, Swanreach, heysorryimlate, and Samuel Graves. All ages are welcome to witness the hijinks of these fierce and talented local musicians.

On Saturday December 7th music will be kicking off from 4 pm. GLOSS has curated a frothing line-up DJ sets that will take place across two stages, including such names as TK.FM X For Yu, Catholic Guilt, Bibbe Zee X Bethy Babez, Fishwife, Atom, zoe.g, L.E.C.N.A X Xela Rae, Pcaroldactyl, and Brigitte.

The two collectives are proud to announce that all profits from ‘Bullet Bra’ will be going toward Girls Rock! Adelaide, the non-profit organisation that runs a rock camp for girls, intersex, and all trans and gender-diverse youth from ages 10-17. The organisation has been cited as crucial in developing the confidence and skills of young femme and gender non-conforming artists longing to break into a scene that can be daunting to those who don’t neatly fit the status quo.

In a joint statement, GLOSS and Runt! Records declare, “We have chosen [Girls Rock! Adelaide] because it is vital to Australian youth creativity and music growth.” They continue, “Runt! Records wouldn’t exist without [Girls Rock! Adelaide] and neither would half of your favourite bands.”

The two collectives sign off on their statement, expressing that, “We can all recognise the importance of young people to create and celebrate music.”

This sentiment could not be more vital in these fractured times, when young people are in dire need of mediums that allow them to safely express their individuality and creativity.

Tickets for this crucial Adelaide event are now available online.
