Local Aussie Acts Win Studio Time On Converse Rubber Tracks Program

An amazing opportunity for these Aussie bands

Nearly three months since the announcement that legendary shoe company Converse would be launching the global Rubber Tracks initiative, four hometown acts have won the chance to record — expenses paid — at iconic studios around the world.

Melbourne punk quartet Reptiles, pop rockers The Attics and Sydeysiders Vigilantes have all been selected to record at the famous Sydney studio, Studios 301, while Melbourne hardcore act Abreact have scored flights and studio time at Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, Canada.

The bands will have two weeks in studio from Monday, 14 September with each studio's sound engineers and producers, with the bands retaining all rights to their music when everything wraps up.

Of the other 80 acts chosen for the program, talented and up-and-coming musos from countries such as Argentina, China, Iceland, India and Poland have also won the incredible opportunity — musicians from over 25 countries, all in all.
